We are here in the Blue Mountains to support all Caminos in Spain and we are excited and willing to share the wonderful spirit of the Camino that so many of us call - life changing, wonderful and amazing.
We try to emulate the Camino  spirit and camaraderie through regular Camino Meetups, dinners, movie nights and self-guided training walks from a few hours to our 5-Day Camino Training Walk in our stunning Blue Mountains.
Stories and information readily shared to help those who dream of walking,  Pilgrims who have walked as well as to the curious and just wanting to know more; to understand the power and the healing that can be derived from this ancient pilgrimage are welcome.  Buen Camino!

Saturday 26 September 2020 - Morning Walk KATOOMBA to BLACKHEATH

*Walk: Meet by 8.50am for 9.00am departure   For the Saturday Morning Walk walkers only, please meet just past THE STATION BAR (Pizza place), near Katoomba Station.  Please do not block access to pedestrian crossing.   This walk is for walkers not doing the 5-Day Camino Training Walk.  There will be two walking routes offered, a Technical and Direct route from Katoomba to Blackheath.  If you wish to join us, RSVPs ESSENTIAL as numbers will be limited to comply with COVID rules.
If you have walked the route from Katoomba to Blackheath and able to assist with 'leading or sweep' a group, we'd love to hear from you.  Any assistance you can offer is appreciated.
You will find more details for the September Morning Walk under  What's On
Please note:  The will be no Camino Meetup for September at Glenella Guesthouse following the morning walk.  Due to the number of walkers completing the 5-Day Camino Training Walk plus the morning walkers, there will be too many people for inside Glenella.  The BYO picnic lunch in the rear gardens of Glenella is NOW FULLY BOOKED.  Apologises for any inconvenience.   The 5-Day walkers will conclude their journey at Glenella.
Tuesday 22 - Saturday 26 Sept 2020 - 5-Day Camino Training Walk:  FULLY BOOKED
There has been an overwhelming response in registrations  for the 5-Day Blue Mountains Camino Training Walk, and bookings are now closed.  Thank you all for your tremendeous support!   Please note the Glenella Albergue is also fully booked.
It is anticipated the 5-Day Walk from Penrith to Blackheath will be able to proceed.  Those walkers registered will be notified by email should the situation change and further COVID restrictions are put in place.  Even though we are walking outdoors, we all need to be mindful by practicing good hygiene (washing hands, hand sanitisers, wearing mask as appropriate) and required social distancing.  Wear a mask if catching public transport and in crowds.   More details for the 5-Day walk  Click Here
**See the  What's On  calendar of events hosted by the Blue Mountains Camino Supporters group for more details about Camino Meetups, Saturday morning walks, 5-Day Camino Training Walk, Camino dinners, movies and other special events....
