Cancelled: Feast of St James Day Dinner

Pilgrims Dinner
Date: Friday, 24 July 2020 18:30 - 21:30

Venue: Wentworth Falls Popup Albergue

EVENT CANCELLED:  Due to coronavirus and uncertainties, sadly this year's Feast of St James Day event hosted by Jerard and Enda is cancelled.  We hope they will be able to host the event in 2021.

Last year Jerard and Enda hosted their first St James Day Dinner to celebrate the Feast Day of St James. This year the dinner will be held 6.30pm on Friday 24 July, the eve of St James Day at the Wentworth Falls Popup Albergue in Blaxland Rd, Wentworth Falls.   This will allow pilgrims to attend both the dinner and the Blue Mountains Camino Supporters monthly Training Walk on Saturday morning, 25 July, and the Camino Meetup that follows the walk.

The meal will consist of tapas, soup, a main meal, dessert, tea or coffee.  House wine will be supplied.  The cost is $22 per head.  The menu will reflect what a rural albergue of Spain could provide.   Beer and soft drink will be available on a donativo basis.

The Popup Albergue is not large so the number of guests is limited to 18 people.

For RSVPs please contact Jerard and Enda by email on This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. for further details and booking.  Payment in advance is required.  There will be no refunds after Sunday July 19 when bookings close and supplies are ordered, however, you may on-sell your tickets.

Saint James Feast Day Saint James is the patron saint of not only Galicia but the whole of Spain. He is also the patron of pilgrims. His feast day is celebrated on the 25 th July and for the Camino de Santiago this is a very special day and one you would want to be in Santiago for.
